Resident Warns Of Scam
A local man wishes to warn other residents that another scam is circulating as con artists attempt to obtain your personal information and your money.
The resident states that he has received repeated telephone calls in recent days from a person claiming to represent Winners International Lottery. The caller identified himself as “Ray West” of Fort Myers, Florida. The man has told the resident he is the winner of a $2.8 million prize. All he must do to claim his prize is forward $199 to the company.
The resident said that before giving prize-claim information, the caller asked for his age. As he is past retirement age, the resident warns older residents to beware of similar calls.
